Santi Wana Eco Community Project

A new community for urban people

The community is an example of how the members of the community and networks are bonded together through mind, spirit, loving, sharing, and caring. We aim to support members’ health and well-being and to help people who are struggling in life and careers, people with mental weaknesses including those who are underprivileged to refresh their minds. Moreover, we provide them with training courses in order to develop self-reliance skills and to create awareness about loving, sharing, and sacrificing to others and the world.

Volunteers

Santi Wana Eco Community is open for friends to join us as “volunteers” working in organic agriculture, learning from real practices, and being an expert. No experience is needed, just be ready and have the eagerness to learn. We are willing to provide knowledge and experiences to the volunteers to the fullest through the daily operations on the farm for 2-3 months.

Community Sharing

The Food Sharing project of the Santi Wana Eco Community has been operated by the Media Center for Development Foundation, in collaboration with Scholars from the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation– SOS Thailand and Food for Fighters since April 2020 until now. Santi Wana Eco Community together with its supporters has donated and passed on More than 600 kilograms of organic products from the Community to medical personnel and people affected by the COVID-19 situation. SOS Thailand has distributed and helped 67 communities or about 30,000 households. The Food for Fighters has helped more than 50 communities and more than 20 hospitals in many provinces such as Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Saraburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Kanchanaburi, and Uttaradit.

However, this situation prolongs and affects the people, especially vulnerable groups or low-income people who are in quarantine or unable to earn any income for the family. As per the abovementioned cause, the Santi Wana Eco Community recognized the importance of food and product sharing which is necessary and safe for people’s health.

Therefore, Santi Wana Eco Community has continued and worked on the Food Sharing with Friends project from August – to December 2021. The purpose was to share food and natural products with vulnerable groups. The Community would grow organic vegetables and produce natural products, then donate to various communities.

The details and amount of donations for the 2nd Food sharing project and the Food sharing with Friends project are as follows:

  • A total of 1,227.5 Kg of organic fruits and vegetables were donated to the project.
