About Santi Wana Eco Community Project
Santi Wana Eco Community covers an area of about 30 rai, located on Songprapha Road, Don Mueang District, 8 km from Sri-Samarn Expressway and 12 km from Don Mueang Airport. This learning community is an example of the ecological balance in the city, and an area of self-produced food and energy. We grow organic vegetables and use solar cells to manage energy and water in agriculture and serve as a spiritual training ground. The founder of the community was Pastor Wichai Phoktawee (from the Jesuits at the Xavier Hall, Victory Monument). Currently, the area is a collaborative project between the Ursulines Foundation for Education and the Media Center for Development Foundation, aiming to maintain and develop it as a sustainable area.
